I had the pleasure of speaking with Russell Matmon, fitness guru and business owner of Monmouth County, New Jersey. I was stunned to learn that Russell currently holds the bench--press record for the World Natural Powerlifting Federation for his weight class. He now wants to take his accomplishments and use them to help others who want to burn calories and build muscle.
That's when 'Pump Fitness' was born. Russell describes the environment as, "100 percent comfortable. While it is a small gym, everybody gets to know one another because we’re like a family."
Russell has been working for various gyms throughout New Jersey for over six years and has built a substantial clientele. Since most of the clients know one another, Russell thought it would be opportunistic to grow this family-friendly environment.
It's more than just lifting weights though, it is the knowledge that is key. Russell keeps up with the science behind fitness, while he is currently studying for the ACE Exam. He also earned his National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
certification. His favorite style of personal training is "powerlifting, but I also like to do HIIT training (High Intensity Interval Training)." He feels it is the the best way to burn calories and build muscle. He designs specific programs that are tailored to the individual's needs.
Pump Fitness is located right on Union Hill Road in Monroe and if you are someone that is interested in personal training, you can go for your initial consultation. It's a simple process, "we would go over their specific goals, needs and wants - everything from their physical skill sets to nutrition. Then, we offer month-to-month contracts, one-on-one or small group sessions."
Pump Fitness has their grand opening just a few short weeks away on Saturday, April 28th. Stop by to meet with local sponsors, such as Eat Clean Bro, Underground Nutrition, Bagel Bazaar and Studio 455. There will be food tastings, beverages and a fun-filled schedule. If you want to get a head start, you can take advantage of pre-sale options for a super deal!
To learn more about the Grand Opening or for additional information, you can reach Russell directly at 908-670-5617 or by email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
